Pigeon Funk is exactly that. PIGEON! FUNK!
To elaborate would be redundant, but to be redundant we must. Pigeon Funk started not unlike those famous chocolate and peanut butter cups, when Sutekh's brazen dancefloor hammerings and Kit Clayton's dementedly soulful caresses suddenly found themselves melted in one another's arms. Amidst a squirrelly array of multi-modal musical muck, this gooey twosome of infamous techno/dub freakers took their more palatable heritage to a place where taste and consistency held little currency. No sound off limits! No jewel too expensive to wear! No turd too rough to be polished!
Taking its first physical form on Proptronix Recordings, the quicksand known as has Pigeon Funk sucked in other Californian muses, like Safety Scissors and Wobbly, and spewed their mess on to other imprints such as Onitor with remixes by nutty Euro-stars like Ark and Phon.o. Despite the wild success of these fine feathered friends, Pigeon Funk needed some time to consider the damage they had done. After four years of silence, the cultural Katamari rolls onwards on Montreal's Musique Risquee with THE LARGEST BIRD IN THE HISTORY OF THE PLANET...EVER!!!
